As a UK, self-taught graphic designer and branding coach, my path wasn’t always clear or easy. In 2009, while working as a dental nurse, I started a handmade side hustle that rekindled my passion for creativity. Then, my life fell apart—my husband passed away unexpectedly, leaving me devastated and severely financially strained.
Desperate to make my business work and not lose my home, I faced a confidence crisis. Without any formal training, I struggled to create the professional branding I knew I needed to attract the right clients continuously.
With determination, I immersed myself in improving my design and customer service skills, transforming my side hustle into a full-time business that eventually wholesaled internationally with brands like Anthropologie.
